6 Degrees Muskoka

WOW!! That is what our 5 judges thought as they viewed the Muskoka student submissions from grade 1 to 12. The judges were Wendy Gray and Mike Fry (99.5 MOOSE FM), Tim Lum of Pixel Flex (our web guy), AJ Specht (children book illustrator) and Kevin Saunders (Muskoka Bear Wear). Their mission, which they chose to accept, was to pick a 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 12 honourable mentions from the 67 entries we received to establish a name and logo/imagery for the Digital Animation Studio within Six Degrees Muskoka. Three entries dominated each of their choices; so much so in fact that we decided to award 3 FIRST PLACE WINNERS, that’s right, 3 LAPTOPS!
On May 23rd @ Six Degrees, the following winners were present to accept their awards:
Our three 1st place winners who each received a laptop: ALEX FRASER (gr. 8 BPS), JULIA HUDSON (gr. 10 St. Doms) and KRISTIN WRIGHT (gr. 12 BMLSS). Alex’s name, PIXELS on the PARALLEL, and the combined artwork of Julia and Kristin will form our digital studio logo!
